After I posted about my recent makeup purchases last week, a couple of you asked for the makeup edition. And by “a couple”, I mean one person but I am nothing IF not obliging!

When it comes to skincare, I am still more concerned with premenstrual breakouts than wrinkles which feels preposterous at 39 but here we are. I am also extremely intolerant to retinol, which saddens me greatly. (Don’t come into the comments giving me advice on how to use it. I know how to use it and I have tried everything. My face hates it.) Because my skin tends to be quite reactive, I try and keep my routine relatively simple as you’ll see below.

Morning:

I use my NuFace mini microcurrent device every single morning. It’s an extra five minutes which I know is a lot if you have kids and/or a demanding job but I’m telling you now, it’s worth it. I can literally see the difference it makes to my cheekbones if I use it consistently but… you have to be consistent. You’ll see results if you are, it’s a waste of money if you’re not. I wouldn’t bother with their conductive gel – I buy Magnitone’s Liftoff Prepare+ glide gel. It’s cheaper and just as effective.
