My greatest misfortune is that I love to eat but hate to cook. I just find it so boring – I have never once sat down to a meal I’ve made for myself and thought, yeah that was totally worth the effort. At home in Ireland, I subscribe to a meal kit delivery service in an attempt to ensure I don’t go completely feral and live off olives and Kinder chocolate but in New York, I just ate out all the time. One guy suggested that he cook dinner for us in my apartment and I was like, yeah I have no idea if this oven works? And I don’t intend on checking? Thanks though!
So, after a month of very good meals, I thought I’d write a guide to all the restaurants I’ve tried. (Honourable mentions for cocktail bars that had decent non-alcoholic options at the end) Hit save for your next trip to New York xx

I alternated between the Shroomami – roasted tofu and warm portobello mushrooms – and a build your own option which was basically salmon, wild rice, and vegetables. I paired this with the Mother Earth green juice from Juice Press and prayed to the IBS gods that would be enough to save me from whatever chemicals/hormones are in American food.
